Default 2003 Auxiliary Audio Input

New member looking for a little guidance. I have a 2003 GX with ML, Nav and RSES. I am getting different opinions from local aftermarket audio dealers. I have found a device with "Y" harness that sits behind the radio and supplies an auxiliary line with a 30 pin apple connector that will allow an iPod/i-phone to be used through the MD player mode. The problem is the packaging gives applicable model years as starting with 04. At another shop, a similar device and another that used bluetooth instead of a wire, both had 04 as the first year listed not 03. The head installer at that shop said because I have RSES it complicates the whole process even more. I am hoping someone can let me know if these devices, even though they are labeled as being for an 04 or later GX will work on my 03 and if there are any special precautions because of RSES. I noticed when I was buying a replacement battery that some websites like the Interstate Battery's doesn't know there ever was a 03 GX470!

Any help is greatly appreciated.

My truck is a 2004 with same navigation and rear entertainment center and mark levinson system.
In fact when you install the kit I did you do not lose your cd player. The Bluetooth device interfaces as an MD [ Mult Disk ] Is completely compatible with the GX470

Here is the link to Vais they have many options for your 2003 . I just installed the Vias SL3B Bluetooth interface . This allows me to stream music from My iphone as well as play any of my songs in the phone also can stream music from applications like Pandora etc .

Its very easy to install and I would not trust an audio place that is not aware of this company and its products

It should play through but will only go direct to headphones or wireless headphones. No way of playing it through the trucks audio system speakers
