Default Out-of-Spec Wider Tires?

The OEM GX470 tire is actually bigger in diameter (30,6" vs 30,5"). Please see the attached picture.

Maybe the GX460 tires did not meet the specs after the production.

We’ll after you’ve driven on them for 1000 miles they would be the same, that’s a generic chart…numbers will differ slightly between all tires of the same size and manufacturer.

What's the offset of stock 470 vs 460 wheel? If the offsets are not the same then the swing is not the same. Rim size and offset can lead to rubbing.

oem17” and 18” wheels have the same 25mm offset

That is a rounding in the scheme of tires ... plus even the same size across makes and modeks will differ by that amount.
