Default Stereo Mode Advance issue

I am the original owner of an 07 with 90k miles. I have a fairly new battery and have not experienced any electrical or audio issues lately. Recently, my stereo has stopped advance between the modes beyond DVD. I have three discs in the player but when cycling thru the modes, the mode change button on the steering wheel doesn't not advance past DVD. It does cycle thru all the other modes. When it stops at DVD, it says "no disc". If I manually change the disc on the dashboard stereo unit, the DVD player is recognized, the music palsy and the system will advance past this point but when I continue to cycle thru it stops again at the DVD WITH THE "no disc" message. I did remove the battery connections but the problem persists.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Steve

Default Stereo mode advance

I have the 6 disc player in the glove box. I can advance tracks or switch between the CDs manually from the dash console unit or from the steering wheel. The steering wheel advance gets stuck when I try to advance to the next mode (AUX).
