Default Blinker Question

I went to drive and noticed left turn blinker was hyper blinking. Left front bulb is burned out. Is this a normal feature to hyper blink when a bulb goes out? TIA.

Yes. The blinker is able to detect the missing resistance of the burned-out filament, and will blink faster.

Ok thanks guys. I was like wtf?! I'd thought it only hyperblinks when you install LED bulbs.

It hyperblinks when you install LEDs because they usually do not have the same resistance as a tungsten filament bulb, so the vehicle thinks that the bulb is burnt out. That is why they sell LED load resistors, to trick the vehicle into thinking the filament is still good.
