Mine works fine even on pavement (which is where I was in the previous post).

I don't think CDL needs to be locked when 4lo is engaged. If it does even with DAC than CDL light wasn't ON.....
It's been a long while since I had our GX in low range, maybe it's just my Land Cruiser that automatically locks the center diff when shifted to low range(pin 7 mod did away with this) and the GX still requires the CDL button to be pressed.

The long and the short of it is, there's no good reason DAC won't work on pavement surfaces, but there's zero reason to do this in a high-traction situation.

Agreed... It should engage on Pavement as well as OFF-Road... MWSTOYOTA was able to do it.
