Transmission Fluid Change Questions?
<br >I am going to be changing the fluid in my transmission at 90k this afternoon with some overpriced WS and had a couple questions before I get started. I've read most of the posts regarding the fluid swap and have decided to use the transmission pump to drain the fluid in intervals through the cooler line by the radiator.
1. Is the top transmission line entering the cooler the supply line that I need to disconnect to remove the fluid (The one I am pointing to in the picture)?
2. Would you do the initial drain of fluid through the drain plug on a hot engine, while everything is theoretically suspended, or on a cold engine and perhaps drain more fluid at one time?
Thanks,
Cole

Hey thanks for the reply and the reassurance on where the fluid would come out. I know I disconnected a banjo on a CVT Altima one time and made one heck of a mess when the fluid came out backwards lol. I'm still undecided on the cold or hot initial drain though. Hopefully I have time to work on the GX this weekend. Today is was simply not in the cards.
