Default MPG Improving

I have had the truck for 5 months now (8500 miles) and am happy to see the mileage (real calculated - not computer) has improved from about 14 to about 17. Not sure if that is the engine breaking in or the warmer weather or both but I am pleased nevertheless.

My "range" has now improved from 325 miles (according to computer) to 390....trying to hit 400 soon!

Are others experiencing similar improvements with weather or time?

Ours is still a new-born comapred to yours, but we have been enjoying aroiund 15.8mpg on the 4 tanks we have had. I expect the mileage to decrease as the Houston summer approaches due to the harder work that the A/C will have to face. It is still a whole load better than our '00 Land Crusier's consumption!

Post Average MPG

Based on mileage of about 330-360 miles between fill ups, I get 16.7 mpg on the high end here in Houston, TX. I drive mostly interstate except during downtown rush hour traffic. I will be doing a 10 hr road trip and will give you the mpg based on almost all interstate driving in a later post.

On the low end, I have measure about 15.5 mpg also. I have never seen anything above 17 yet.

I'm guzzling approximately 14.3 MPG here in sunny Miami.
