Where to find Recommended Maintenance Schedule
Hi guys,
I need help. I just got a 2007 GX470 truck (new to me). Unfortunately I did not find any Lexus service records. From reading on here I can take the car to Toyota for service and they will use the same parts? I would like to take it to Toyota to change the timing belt and waterpump and also to perform the 120,000 mile service. The car has 150,000 miles, but I remember reading somewhere that the 120,000 service is more inclusive.
Totyota told me they don't have access to the maintenance schedule but I can print out what I need done and they will do it for me. When I go to add the vehicle on the lexus web site and click on maintenance it just says "no maintenance found for your car" Where can I get the recommended maintenance so IC an bring it to Toyota so they will do it for me? Thanks so much guys!

The owner's manual is downloadable as a set of PDFs from the Lexus Owner's site. You'll need your VIN to pick the right ones.
As a new owner with no service records, you should assume the previous owner was a total git and never serviced anything. Replace the oil, coolant, brake fluid, differential fluid (x3) and consider doing a drain + fill on the transmission.
What I do (and I probably over-service) is:
Oil : 5000 miles
Coolant: 3 years
Brake: 3 years
Differentials: 30000 miles
Transmission: 30000 miles
Chip H.

thanks guy. I got a quote from a Lexus dealer for 120,000 mile service and TB/WP and serpentine belt, pulleys, etc..(more inclusive then the 150,000 miles service) for $1700+ tax. IS this good?
I agree that I should assume that it was never services. Seems like the 120,000 service covers everything you said.
I'm not too familiar with differentials, and what x3 means. Are there 3 of them? Any ideas how much that should cost?
Toyota wants to charge me $1300 for TB/WP if the seals need to be replaced, so the $1700 at Lexus seems like a no-brainer which includes the 120,000 service?
