Looking at an 08 gx470
After I found my 07 rx350. its Just too small for us.
I found an 08 GX470 with 144k miles. one owner good carfax. all maintenance records from Lexus dealer. Even tires from dealer.
Clean interior. ml stereo, dvd and nav.
I think I can get it for less than $14,000
Trying to get pics to load.

Just verify that it has all the services done especially timing belt.
You can expect to change the items below at this Mileage:
Alternator
Timing Belt Waterpump tensioner pulley etc.
Radiator
Transmission Fluid Change
Spark Plugs.
If all the above is done then you are in good shape

It looks good, best of luck to you. I recently bought a 2004 GX470 with 175k on the cheap side because wife wanted the 3rd car for trips on the cheap but wish I had not listened to her as I have dumped a good bit of money on it since I bought it from a guy in WV that was a Lexus guy but his closest Lexus dealer is 3 hours away so no recalls or TSB's done in it's history. I checked Carfax and Accufax and they were clean but car was in rough shape. It feels like I have been able to revive the car from the grave-yard like I was on a velocity program and now it is looking really nice thanks to some leather work, detailing, tires, suspension work and my local Lexus dealer performing all needed recalls and TSB's (I paid for the labor).
Moral to the story...get the reports, check out the car thoroughly yourself, drive it, and if possible have a local Lexus dealer do an independent inspection (if car is not sold at Lexus). Also, do not have your wife talk you into buying a car on the cheap!

Because it's been involved in an accident, I think $13-14k is a normal price for an 08 with 144k. The interior looks good but that is only a very superficial way to judge a vehicle. Make sure you log into drivers.lexus.com and enter the VIN number to get the full Lexus service history. Typically when a car has the timing belt service performed, a sticker is placed under the hood with the date and mileage it was performed. If that sticker is not present and no record of a timing belt change is listed on drivers.lexus.com, that is a big red flag.

My thoughts are if the owner gets tires at the dealership. Then whatever the dealer ever recommended the owner would do on the spot.
my rx350 I bought 6 months ago had a a perfect carfax 2 owner all dealer Lexus service. Called the last owner to see why she sold and she bought a new one.
she said it was great and it is.
my friends own a shop and one has a 04 gx470.
so maintenance is not a concern for me.
