Would appreciate it if someone on the board could give me their thoughts on this GX that just showed up:

CarFax is saying it's a 1-owner vehicle, with all service done in California. Thank you in advance!

Have the seller to agree on taking it to the Lexus dealer for a look over---cost maybe an hour of labor and worth it so anything is noted of any issues they see!! Make sure the timing belt and water pump have all been changed out as well! How many Miles???

All depends on the maintenance done recently. If it needs a timing belt/ trans flush/ diff fluid flush/ water pump/ spark plugs/ etc. you can easily go from a decent deal to a poor one. Carfax is the way to go.

Looks like he stopped taking it to lexus at around 48k, and brought it back recently at 194k. You'll need to find out the rest of the service history somehow.
you can create a lexus account and see all service done at dealerships through VIN.

I would never buy an automatic transmission vehicle with that many miles and no record of transmission service. Likely an expensive time bomb. That price is typical for that many miles, it's not a fantastic deal or anything. If you can afford to spend more, wait for a lower mileage GX to show up, and also one with better service history.

Definitely negotiate down strongly from that asking price - no service records means "not performed"
