Default 2007 lexus gx470 rough ride

2007 lexus gx470 has a rough ride I think that the rear shock absorbers are no good
airbags hold air ok on high
How to replace shocks?
are OEM good?

Does your GX have KDSS? Regular shocks OEM or other are easy to replace. You can usually see oil has leaked from the shock seals. OEM is expensive, but you retain the dampening controls. I Had to cut mine off, but was still very easy to replace. Some people have opted to convert their rear setup to coil instead of air, this does not effect your shocks though.

As it turned out the problem with the rough ride was that the rear of the car was bottoming out on the axle due to misadjusted height sensors.

Adjusted the rear height sensors about half way up, there were all the way down, and the car holds up about 6 1/2 to 7 inches from the top of the tires to the fender (Before was around 5 inches)
The ride was much improved, Thanks.
