Hi All,
Proud new owner of a 2004 GX470 currently getting it set up to fit my outdoor/offroad needs. New to the forum as well![Smilie](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Anyways I was hoping someone out there has experience mounting platform style racks up top after removing the painted rails and installing some more rugged mounts that the platform can bolt into. I just purchased the larger 84"x49" Rhino Rack Pioneer platform and have no idea how I'm gonna mount it yet lol. I also need to put my RTT on it but I'm more worried now about getting the platform up on there secured nice and tight and be able to withstand all the weight of the tent plus gas cans etc etc. I might add as well that I could just get the Rhino Rack BackBone mounting system which bolts into the factory rails but they're super pricey at $400 and I'm trying to keep costs low. I wondering if anyone can suggest a cheaper option.. Would something like these work on the factory rails?
Can anyone help out with a good cost effective mounting solution?
