Default Buying - old (03/04) low mileage 30-60k miles or newer (06/07) higher mileage 120k+?

Hi all

Need some advice. I've found a couple of older models with lower mileage for the age of the car (30-60k) -- no evidence of the timing belt service as well as higher mileage 'normal' vehicles like 06/07s with 120k miles or so

Body condition all about the same - not perfect, no accident histories but not perfect service records

What do you think I should do?

Thanks

I am in CA as well, just bought a '06 with 131K miles a month ago. There were service records, and I just replaced timing belt and water pump myself since I didn't see it on Lexus ownership web portal. But turns out, the timing belt was in great shape but water pump started showing leaks in the surrounding areas, I did replace it anyway with a new water pump. The newer model like 06 has the new VVTi engine, I would go for it, and the car still runs like a tank.

I'd purchase the newest model with the most complete service records.
