New to me GX470 - Best route for new Master Key
Hi,
New to me GX470 (2006) with only the Valet Key and a remote keyfob (lock, unlock, panic). I have no master key, no cc key, no key code. Nuffin
what would be the best route to get at least another master key for this GX? Is it a one-way trip to the dealer?
Can I buy a genuine OEM LEXUS transmitter and blank and have this done by a capable auto locksmith?
Thanks

meh. Just got an automotive locksmith out here to make me a new Master key, its not an OEM but for the cost, i wasn't expecting one... just needed to make sure I had another key.

Did he code the key to the vehicle? (aka did it start the engine)
There's three parts to the keys - the metal blade (that has to be cut), the keyless entry (which you can program yourself), and the anti-theft chip (needs special software to program)

Metablade is cut, remote unlocks and locks the doors from a pretty good distance and the key starts the engine. G2G, until it breaks. lol
