How much did you pay for your GX?
This is from the biggest Lexus dealer in the US.
$500 over invoice with no dealer fee's.
I think I can get $250 over. What have you guys seen?
Do you think I can do better?
Should I wait for a 04?
Thanks!

I personally think you are getting a very good price at $500 over factory invoice. It is certainly the best I have heard on a GX470. The best I have been able to get is $1500 over invoice at a So. Calif Dealer.
I had the temptation of purchasing a 2003 fully loaded. But with the new possible additions that may be available on the 2004's, I have put off my purchase until then... But this anticipation is killing me.... I can't wait to something official from Lexus on the new availability of 2004's.
Yes, I expect the price to be higher on the 2004, but I'll wait until the end of a month when the dealer is trying to get those final numbers to make goal and then I'll make them an offer.
Just my thoughts...

I don't know if this helps any or not, but here in Washington we bought a GX470 with everything except Lexus Link at an out the door cost of 48,750. Then again, that was after walking out of the dealer once and threatening to purchase from a rival dealership.

Yes, that price was out the door, tax title and license however the one thing I omitted from my previous post, is that price was with our trade. My son (now in college) had a 1995 Ford contour and we traded that in. We got I think 1900 for it.
I do not have any idea how much above or below invoice that price was, I did not even know the invoice price.

finsx,
Lexus invoices include DEALER HOLDBACK. Ask the if they will sell it to you at Invoice Price less the DEALER HOLDBACK. The dealer hodback on the GX470 is close to $900. FYI

I take it you got a good deal on your 2003? Just curious, I'm in the market for a 2003, where did you get yours? And what salesperson do you recommend? I've been getting quotes that are $1500 above dealer cost. Suggestions welcomed in this game of shopping.

Hello cmc5dc,
I have not purchased my GX470 yet. But the best deal I have been able to find is also $1500 over invoice
In the factory invoice itemize list are included a Dealer Holdback of say $900 which they do not wish to negociate on.
I am actually going to wait for a 2004 GX470. Since I'm already spending $50k, I decided to wait a few more months. I am told we should start seeing the 2004's in late Sept.
Hope this helps...

I have found three dealers here in South Florida that will sell at invoice.
Why can you get better deal's in S Florida?
BTW - high end cars like M3's and such are MORE expensive around here.
