Need help with GPS Antenna
Car: 2006 GX470
Recently, my dealer replaced the dashboard top under warranty (sun/heat related cracking in the early GX models). After that, my NAV stopped working. I suspected that the GPS antenna was not plugged in. I removed the radio/screen/nav unit and found that the GPS antenna coax cable was severed. It is still connected to the antenna under the dash, but the severed end looks like it has been ripped out of the connector. Ok, I thought that I would find the connector on the back of the control unit and then try to repair/reattach. Unfortunately, I have NO IDEA where it is supposed to connect to. Every single connector on the back of the radio, screen/nav/clock cluster is properly plugged in and occupied.
Also, it might be very helpful if anyone has any suggestions as to where I can get the missing GPS antenna connector, in case i need one.
Please help with information regarding exactly where the GPS antenna is supposed to connect. Thank you! mark Horbal . mthorbal@gmail.com 312-804-0224
(BTW: I did see a youtube video that shows an older 2003 model which has 4 connectors on the back of the screen, one of which is for the GPS antenna. Unfortunately, I only have three connectors on the back of mine - the antenna one is not there).
