Default Need a new dash.. but where?

Hi all,
just bought a new '04 gx470 thats in GREAT condition with low miles... for my wife... but the only thing it needs is a new
dash. the dash is cracked like crazy.. i heard that Lexus may replace the dash at no charge almost like a 'recall'....
has anyone heard of this and will they consider a free replacement? thx

Recall is over I'm afraid, and it's not gonna be cheap to have a shop do that job.

Hey,
I had the same issue and I called Lexus about it.
It is a weird situation. When the recall was going a lot of people put their name on the list to get dashboards but due to the low stock volume and high demand, Lexus had up to a seven-month wait list to get one. If your car was put on that list by the previous owner and for some reason they never got it installed before the car was sold, Lexus will honor the recall and will give you a dash for free.
Give them a call with your Vin and see if it has been put on the list.

Good luck!

/this\ - you can also find out if it was put on the list when you log into the Lexus site with your VIN number and look at the service history.

I had to pester my local dealer for a almost 4 months (they were reluctant at first because the vehicle had not been bought from them), but they are installing a new dash as we speak.
