Default Possible Electric Problem/Water leak

I have an 06 gx470 problem initially began with the vehicle running rough and hesitating all of sudden while accelerating and stalled a few times when this occurred but would always start back up. The problem pretty much went away for about a week or 2 then I went through the car wash and when the car came out it had stalled and would not turn back on. It was not an issue with the battery because the car still had power but nothing would happen when you turned the key. After the car sat for 3 days it started up fine. I drove the car for a few days and then after it rained the car would not start again, same as when it came out of the car wash battery was not dead but wouldn't start. Tried to start it the following day but then the battery was completely dead.
I am thinking something has to be getting wet and is causing these issues.

Take a look in the right front wheelwell. If you can see the alternator, you're missing the splash guard.

This seller will include the clips (which are probably broken/missing as well)
