I can verify there is no seal. There is a cover that comes off then there is a little slider on the left side. Once you slide it to the right, there it will reveal an eject button.
*note: key must be in the ON position for the DVD to eject.

I was wondering if there was a way for a passenger to input a new address while the car is in motion. I'm sure this block is so that the driver will not input addresses while driving. We also own an MDX and can input new destinations and addresses while the car is in motion.

Sorry, even with the view DVD while in motion mod, you still can not input a new address into the NAV system. The only way to do this would be to put a switch on the speed sensor wire that goes to the actual NAV system (not to the one that goes to the LCD display), and that I am not willing to do.

Speed Pulse Wire
I don't think it would be enough to put a switch on speed pulse wire.
We talking navigation system here - It knows when vehicle is in motion - Geographic position is changing when the vehicle is in motion. I have Alpine Navigation and it has triple protection against going to the menu when vehicle is in motion:
1. Parking Brake wire (easy to cut or put a switch)
2. Speed pulse wire (possible to cut or put a switch but you would lose important functionality of the navigation system.)
3. Geographic Location (the only way to beat this one is to go to a tunnel or to put a switch on GPS antenna)
Alpine navigation is kind enough to allow you to enter the menu after you agree to a disclaimer when vehicle is in motion.
Lexus navigation is a different story.

Is there a reset to the disc? I tried an upgrade, no good but the original cd is coming up where it can't see the original disc. any suggestions? No damage to it either.

Not to be undone ....
If you had a newer navigation DVD and inserted it into the drive and went through the update procedures (reading the update manual), the process CANNOT be undone. The new disc has updated software along with the new maps. It will update the system version, and it states in the update manual that you cannot use the old disc again (i.e. multiple warning notices and pieces of paper)
