I need some advice. I have the cracking of the dash board like everyone else. I got samples from Coverlay and nothing matched that good. Am if better off just getting a replacement dash and installing it myself? Or are there any other options?

I think it all depends on how much money you're willing to spend to solve the problem. IIRC, the dash is a $900 part and will take most of a day to install (my dealer charges $160/hr...)

There are used dashes for sale on eBay, etc. but they'll be original stock, and subject to the same cracking as everyone else's

I use a really nice carpet dash mat i got from ebay. Covers everything and looks good, as it is made for it. Now they even have leather- I'd love to see that in person.
