Default 2003-2005 Diff Support

2003-2005 Diff Support
The passenger side front differential support was revised for 2006. If you have a 2003 to early 2005, you will want to install the updated front differential support from Lexus. Sme 2005 GX’s have the updated part from the factory. Failure to do so may result in the differential support catastrophically failing, which is a really bad day for anything close to the differential (i.e. your oil pan, and consequently your motor). Toyota Part for ordering is#52380-60021: Support, Front Differential, NO.2 However the number stamped into the side of the part is 52391-60021.

Does anyone know about this? And has anyone done this upgrade? I've got an 04' and wandering if I need to upgrade the front differential support.

Thank you.

Yes you have the weak support unless someone has upgraded it in the past. It shouldn't be a problem unless you go off roading or abuse your truck but its cheap for peace of mind. I'd do it because if it breaks its going to cost a lot more than a bracket

Does anyone know if this is the right part? The part number is different (52380-04071) and it says that it replaces the part I'm looking for - 52380-60021.
Will this part - 52380-04071 - be upgraded too and not the old weak one? I just don't want to buy the old weak one. It's so confusing.

Thank you.

Thank you.

But is there a difference between these two?
https://www.lexuspartsnow.com/parts/...380-60021.html - the one on your link.
https://parts.autonationtoyotasoutha...UyMzgwLTYwMDIx - the one on my link.

Or should I just pay $18 more and don't worry about anything?

They are identical. Buy the cheaper one. They just have more in stock.
