Default 2008 rear suspension (Arnott?)

anyone have experience with Arnott? I have a 2008 GX with 125K miles. The rear suspension is shot. I don't know if I need new airbags but thinking I may replace as well.

The Arnott kit seems very affordable. Looks like you loose the adjustable shock settings but that's not a big deal. They sell the air spring as well.

The pair of shocks seems to be ~$350 and the air springs are about the same.

How do these hold up and how is the ride quality?

Thx

I had Arnott shocks on mine prior of lifting. They felt great with the rear bags and also great with FJ Cruiser rear spring (with metaltech coil conversion).

The only thing you wont have is the comfort/Sport adjustments.

There is Arnott air spring here for $272 a pair. You might find shocks cheaper there as well. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...r+spring,15005
I've heard really good things about Arnott air springs but personally, I went with OEMs cause I found new air bags for around $350 a pair. Normally, they are more than that.

Would I need to do an alignment after the install? Not sure if these trucks need rear alignment. Thx,

As the car is all wheel drive, I suppose it needs all wheel alignment in general.
But I don't think replacing air bags will require doing that. I was told that by 2 different mechanics.

Only the front require alignment if you are going to change the lift in anyway or touching alignment sensitive components.

The rears you can do a 3" lift in the rear and itll be the same due to the solid axle design.
