Unhappy Hot cupholder on drivers side - 2003 GX470

Is it normal after long distance drive, you have a heated cup holder which can heat your cold drink hot? Is there an exhaust leakage or something? Thanks.

The transmission tunnel will get hot on a long drive, I'd be looking for missing exhaust heat shields under the cupholders. An exhaust leak you'd hear in all likelihood.

Sounds like you have a new “feature” like these new cars, lol.

Mine gets warm after a long drive. All heat shields are in place, so I think it's a "feature".

However ---
It might be worthwhile looking under the vehicle right after you stop to see if the catalytic converter is glowing..

Thanks for the reply. As I did not hear any noise so far, I definitely will check the exhaust heat shields. Guess I need to get used to the new "feature"

There may also be some rubber "boots" or grommets where the shifters come through the floor that could have come loose as well letting heat in there, you could pull the center console and investigate. Great opportunity to clean up any coffee/cola spills from days gone by if you're looking for a good time, lol.
