Did they become mis-aimed somehow?

Yes, each can be aimed left and right, and up and down independently.

I have attempted to follow the manual to adjust the headlights and I have been unsuccessful at adjusting side to side aim. The main adjuster is no problem, it easily aims up and down. The 2nd adjuster that has the lock on it seems to do absolutely nothing. How were you able to do it?

So you haven't adjusted your lights to the side then? Or have you given it a try to just check the adjustment functionality? I felt the need to do mine after putting LED bulbs in and noticing that the lights are aimed a bit right of center.

I've never needed to, and have never tried adjusting side to side. I went with HID low beams, and they were properly centered just like stock halogen bulbs.

i feel they are adjusted to the right a bit. they've always been that way and annoy me. i see folks reference the manual tells you the procedure, but i don't see it referenced in mine. I only see the adjustment up and down. i don't even see an "adjuster" for left/right.

I've never done it, so I can't say with 100% certainty. Here's a pic of the backside of a GX470 headlight, I'm looking at the black plastic cover to the left of the inner light, I'm guessing the adjuster is under that cover for the left/right adjustment. It's likely set from factory and intended to stay where it's set, hence the cover.

Are you able to post a pic of your light output pattern that shows why you think this needs adjustment? Maybe there's something else simple going on?
