When looking for a GX470, I was set on white or black and was kind of running into the same issue. Several dealers I spoke to, most being Lexus dealers, said it was because even at the time, this is 3 years ago, a lot were being shipped out of the country.

 

Beautiful car! It's an unicorn alright. I have never run into another GS450h here in CA -- even though CA is suppose to be the Hybrid capital of the country! Keep it in Sport or Sport+ mode. You will love the "free" torque it gives you on the street.
