Default First time GX owner - Black '07 "build"

I have owned a few GS years ago, hence the age of my membership, but first time in a GX and loving it so far!I
I got it from a Luxury dealer as a trade-in with about 125k miles.
Black w/ Dark gray interior
It has Nav, No DVD, and I don't believe it has KDSS (can't see anything above the front sway bar)
Before I begin, any questions I have are in the context of this vehicle being 99% on-road. I like the idea of hitting some trails with this, but have no intention of doing adjustable control arms, sliders, etc...

I know how to search the forum, but if you want to comment on anything here to get me a head start, I would GREATLY appreciate it!

There is a **** next to my "2nd start" switch that doesn't appear to function, it only spins, no clicks or "push", nor light.
EDIT: I confirmed that it is the subwoofer control (subwoofer cable is loose under 2nd row, so i assume the PO removed it before trade in.)

It's had TB & WP done, plus a bunch of 120k service done, so I have good peace of mind, however there are some things I would like to do fairly soon:
SOUND:
I am researching what the best/cheapest method for getting digital sound into the Mark Levinson system. The FM stereo sounds horrible, kind of "tinny" and the bass is so vague it makes me think the sub is blown, but the DVD/CD changer doesn't load CD's, so I need to find a way to get digital music playing to truly test the condition of the speakers and then go from there.
BRAKES:
The brakes work perfectly, just a distinct "click" sound from the front end when driving at slow speeds. The dealer tech said it wasn't major, either pads needed changed or "pins" replaced, so I'm researching that issue as well.
SUSPENSION:
I have to assume the struts are original. The ride is great, maaaybe a little bouncy... but I haven't driven a Body on Frame vehicle in a loooong time. the struts are bone dry as far as I can see. My wife says it rides way better than her 4 year old Ford Escape! I may look into some sort of coilover conversion if things get uncomfortable, perhaps a mild lift.
WHEELS/TIRES:
I plan on getting some Level 8 MK6 wheels, 17x8 et0 the same as shown in the photo shown below (ih8mud, forgot the user name)
I want a step up in tire size to give it a more aggressive look, but not requiring removal of the side step. 275/70 , again this is a daily road vehicle so trail tires not necessary, however I do like the look of the Bridgestone K02.

I was going to say the **** looks like an aftermarket bass control!

If the CD player doesn't work, it's possible the previous owner installed a GROM add-on or something similar, which plugs in place of the CD changer. You'll have to do some investigating, but if the CD changer is unplugged at the back, odds are something is plugged in its place that would provide digital inputs.

Those wheels are nice, they'll look great on the GX. If you're sticking with stock suspension, you can fit 265/70/17's (up one size from stock) with no rubbing concerns. Other sizes may require some trimming, or heating and re-shaping wheel well liners, etc.

A few updates:
I installed some heavy rubber floor mats custom cut for the GX.
I usually get Weathertech or Husky, but I’m putting a lot of cash out lately so i got a set for only $70. They fit really well but do not have a high edge like WT mats. I’m happy with the value/price.

I also installed a YATOUR Bluetooth kit. Only took about 10 minutes and I FINALLY have crystal clear sound! The amps are really showing their strength too.

Tomorrow she goes in for window tint and checking out an aftermarket Subwoofer to complete the system.

Got the Level 8s mounted! 275/70 Grabber ATX. I had to manipulate the front and rear fender liners but nailed it the first time, so far no rub! Stock suspension of course.
