Default Location of Skid Control ECU

Hi,

Could someone please tell me where the Skid Control ECU is on a 2009 Lexus GX470? Any insight on how to remove and test it would also be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

After a lot of Googling I think the Skid Control ECU *may* be mounted on the Master Cylinder. However, now I can’t figure out where the Master Cylinder is. Does anyone know where that part is??

The master cylinder is on the firewall in the engine bay on the driver's side. Note that it is driven by a pump, and not a vacuum booster.

This diagram shows the module (#16), but not it's location. My guess is it's under the dash near the driver's door. Hopefully yours is not bad, as they're $2700 (dealer price).

Thanks for looking into this! I checked out that part and when I change the vehicle year to 2009, it says the part is not compatible. I don’t see a comparable part for that year, which is strange. I’ve heard that the Toyota 4Runner and GX470 are a similar build, I just don’t know how similar exactly. The 4Runner manual puts it attached to the Master Cylinder, so I guess I’ll have to take a look!
