Default TRD Off-Road Wheels on the GX

Hey all, new GX owner and thought I'd use my first post to ask one of the most important questions possible. What center caps can fit these new 2020 TRD Off-Road wheels I just bought?

Anyone have these and successfully swapped out the center caps to a TRD or Lexus branded one? Many look similar but I thought maybe one of ya'll could confirm.

Also I assume I won't get a lot of kudos on the choice of Dunlop A/T tires but they were brand new take offs and essentially free. Happy to report back on them if anyone's curious. I see them being referred to as "Dunflops" which is not encouraging...

Nice choice of wheels. I'm not sure if there is an OEM Lexus center cap that fits these wheels but you might want to consider this route: I ordered center cap decals from https://3dcarstickers.com/ to place on my TRD center caps. I gave them the exact diameter I wanted (78mm) and they fit great.

They have been on for two years now and still look good.

Yes! Haha, this is perfect. I've given up on a finding a factory cap that'll fit. I'd have to spend a fortune ordering best guesses off eBay. For $9 this is a no-brainer. I was able to get the toyota logos off and what's left is just slightly convex––do you think that will be a problem? Can't tell if at 2-3mm thick how pliable they'll be. Or if they really just are stickers.

I don't think the top of the center cap being slightly convex will be a problem. Even though the decals are thick, they are pliable. Especially if you warm them up.

It look over 2 months to receive them from the Ukraine but here's the finished product. 60mm for anyone that may want to try the same. Probably could have gone 61mm but thought better to undershoot.

Discount Tire owner reviews say those AT20 are decent . I would run them out before buying again.

Get those decals and you will be good for a while.

I just bought Destination A/T 2 tires from Firestone for the 6 months deal and kickback. Never had problems with Destination AT 's on anything else i have used. I will say that the Falken AT3w that I have on my truck for 3 years have been as good as AT tires get. I have owned Revo's, Scorpion ATR's, DynaPro ATm's none failed to impress.

I think you will be alright if you pick the right trails for your tires.

Will these wheels work on a stock gx460?

The wheels will fit (17", so will clear the brake calipers). But you need to watch the overall diameter of the tire so you don't get rubbing. The stock 265/65R17 should fit fine without a lift.

Most take offs are 265/70R17s. Do you think those would work with minor trimming?

The size listed on your door jamb sticker is the best bet to fit without a lift (virtually guaranteed).
Going to a higher aspect ratio will increase the overall diameter - will it fit? No idea. Some trimming or use of a heat gun and reshaping the liner might be needed. Try it and see, or talk to your tire guy.

You're asking about a GX460, in the GX470 section. Asking in the appropriate sub-forum will put your question in front of people with the same truck who might be better able to answer for you.

265/70/17's will most likely fit, it will come down to the offset of the wheels whether you get any rubbing at full turn, most likely nothing that can't be resolved with a heat gun.
