Default Transmission????

Just took my GX in for the 1000 mile check up. Addressed the vibration issue with my mechanic who went for a test drive with me. He felt it immediately and said it was strange. He then spoke with the service manager who indicated there had been a number of complaints regarding the same and that they were going to place a call to Lexus. I am to address this again with them at the 5000 mile appt. I am wondering however....I thought I read on one of these threads that the transmission was changed for 2004. I informed my salesperson of this, who was not aware. I am now wondering if I misread. I know the suspension has been changed but has the transmission also been changed? If so, where can I find the details so I can email my salesperson? If they cannot find a fix for the vibration, I want to negotiate the purchase of a 2004 and need all the ammunition I can get.

I haven't heard anything about a transmission change. You can read the press release about the '04 GX here:
