Passenger Speakers
Afternoon everyone!
I've noticed that my passenger speakers in the front and 2nd row of my 07 GX470 are silent, even when I fade the music completely to the passenger side. The tweeters work, and when i fade to the driver side, its loud. Is this indicative of the speaker being blown and a full replacement needed? If so, can anyone recommend speakers, or is it best to try and buy some OEM?
Thanks yall,
GXNoob

Most likely, the rubber surround has decayed. I've had to deal with two of them so far - the 6x9 in the driver's door, and the subwoofer.
If you have some manual dexterity and patience, they can be repaired fairly inexpensively with a kit sold by Simply Speakers.

I played a track that was bass-heavy and that was all she wrote. I was getting very little bass, and when I listened closely I could hear it scrape.
