hi all,
my wifes '03 GX seems to be driving differently. She was in the snow last week and thought she may need the 4x4 and messed with the 4x4 gear shift.
she did something to it but not sure what.... its now in high 4x4 gear. we put main shifter in neutral and put the 4x4 shifter in neutral and then
put man shifter in drive and the car wouldnt move. is that right? is the car not supposed to move if the 4x4 shifter is in neutral? its in 4x4 high now but we
dont think it was before. i dont drive the car enough to know. it does seem diff tho. but shouldnt the car drive when placed in drive and the 4x4 shifter in neutral?
i thot the 4x4 was in neutral all this time weve had the car but now the car wont move if 4x4 shifter is in neutral.... any thots?

Either shifter in neutral, the car won't move. GX is full time all wheel drive. It is always 4x4!
The 4x4 shifter is to select high gear (normal drive) and low gear (off road). So for a normal daily drive, the 4x4 shifter should be in HIGH.

The H/L shifter is the transfer case, you want it to be in H for high range for on road use. These trucks are "Full Time 4WD", which means AWD. The CDL button locks and unlocks the center diff, which is what determines if you're in 4x4 or AWD.
