Default 17" TRD Pro Wheels - Tire Compatability

I'm planning to get a pair of 17" TRD Pro wheels in matte black pretty soon for gold GX (See below)
TRD Pro Wheels

I can't for the life of me figure out if the wheels linked above (17"x 7" - 4mm offset) will work with a set of 265x65x17 Duratracs that came with my GX. One calculator I used said the wheel width should be between 7.5" and 9.5".

Can anyone also shed light on if I could go with a bigger tire size with this wheel down the road with a small lift? I'm thinking 270x70 x17 or similar. Shooting for ~ 33" tire.

On a 265 tire you'll be perfectly fine for the TRD wheels. Going to a bigger size in the future, are you talking about 285/70x17? There is no 270 tire. A 285/70 will be a 33" tire. And yes you'll be fine with those TRD wheels too. Lots of people run that.

I have had no problems with the Falken Wildpeaks (stock size) on the TRD Pro wheels, and they also show 7.5 as the minimum width.

However.. the construction of the Duratracs are almost certainly different internally, so to be 100% sure you should talk with the place that will be mounting them for you and see what their experience with this combo has been.

Excellent thanks! Yes maybe 285/70 - that's as big as I will go with a 2 inch lift down the line.

Mine are 17X9 -12 0ffset for the 265/ 65's. Nines are as wide as I would go for 265's.

May be a bit late but FN wheels makes a 17x8 TRD pro replica wheel. FN wheels are really nice.

Thanks for the tip. I did learn about the FN wheels in my searches. I do like them and the fact that they are wider. But I something felt wrong not going with the OEM. I guess if I have any issues with these wheels the FN wheels will always be an option.

Thanks for the tip! 7" wheels have been purchased. We shall see how they look on my tires. Looks like the OEM wheels fetch a pretty penny so I might sell them and the tires and go with a slightly larger 265/70/17 tire.

Nice!
I've ordered a Lexus center cap (silver on black) from 3D Car Stickers. I went with 78mm diameter, and I hope it fits the TRD Pro.
Once they get here I'll post a photo.
