And the weight of the vehicle went up by almost 300 pounds.
But yes, the 460 would be a better choice for a family vehicle as it has a better safety design (8+ years of engineering improvements)

I saw that same add and told my wife, I think we need to go to Texas! My take is basically the same as the rest of the crowd. We currently have an 04 GX470 with 207K miles and are experiencing a lot of the age related issues. I really like the vehicle, but at some point it doesn't make send to keep putting more $$$ into a 17 year-old vehicle. We are seriously considering selling it vs spending $4K+ in one year. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gx-...repair-it.html

Seems to be on the pretty high end to me. We have a 2003 now with 185K, bought it 2 yrs ago for $10.5 K in very mint condition. Maintenance costs on 470s are pretty reasonable as its not hard to work on them. For me, I would not pay anywhere near that much for a 18 yr old vehicle, even with low miles. Rubber parts will still dry up and wear out, irrespective of # of miles. I bought ours at the price we did knowing that it'll need maintenance given its age, but at that price it made sense. I do love the vehicle plan on keeping it rolling for more years.
