Default Dreaded P0037 Code

Hi All -

I am hoping that someone can help me out resolving this issue. I was driving (our 2003 GX470) the other day and the engine/VSC/tract lights came on. I went home and pulled the code and it was a P0037 along with a C1201 code. I figured it was simply the O2 sensor (Bank 1, Sensor 2), so I pulled and replaced the sensor (on the passenger side after the catalytic converter) with a new Denso. Drove it again, and the engine light/error code came back. Went back and checked for voltage to the sensor (and got around 9.5 volts) and checked the resistance on the new sensor (and got around 16 ohms, but was fairly certain a new Denso sensor would not be bad). Clean the connectors and drove again. I got the same error codes again.

Not sure what to do at this point. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for any help.

I think I figured this out. Looks like Bank 1 = driver side for V8 (and not passenger side as I thought).

Yes, Bank 1 is driver's side.
