Codes Suddenly Came on- don't trust diagnostic 2008 Lexus GX 60k miles
Lights lit up. Went away. Now back. ( Chk engine, VSC Trac, VSC off, and the skid looking drawing). Car runs fine.
Got codes run at lexus. P0456, C1201, C1223, C1251. They mentioned gas cap replacement for first code even though it looks fine and then detailed steps after that. Sounded like needle in a haystack. Same plan followed for other codes.
Since they all came on at once I feel they have to be related?
I am concerned with reliability even though car runs fine. Should I be concerned? I am not willing to pay to chase down unknown problems.
Anyone else had this happen with their car? Suggestions? I will not continue to pay unless diagnoses problem or the car having issues.

What are all the codes? Gas cap, evac pump and/or evap leak, can cause "evap" related codes.
Evap issues typically do not impair driveability, more like a CARB issue leaking fumes or not sucking them out as expected.
1st thing to try is, new gas cap.

Pole Position
Go ahead and replace the gas cap. It's cheap at ~$30 and commonly causes this problem.

Replace the brake light switch.
Your ABS is disabled right now.
Took me 1 year to diagnose this problem. Here is my thread on Toyota-4Runner.org . The 4th Gen 4Runner V8 is essentially the same vehicle as the 1st Gen GX, which my wife has.
