Yes mine is VVT-I and I love it.

The truck was trying to die while I was trying to get to the hotel. It was running then dead, then running, then dead... almost felt like it was running out of fuel.
This was caused by the low electrical power. There wasn't enough juice from the electrical system to run the computers. At this point I believe it jumped time on the last mile or so to the hotel.

I'm shocked that it ran as well as it did all the way home with the timing off two teeth! God bless VVT-I
