Hmm...i recently received some interesting info on the KDSS option. It appears that the new KDSS will NOT be immediately released with the towing package option. This makes me wonder if there was extensive modification done to the new GX?!? This is really starting to bite ..anyway, I can't hold off any longer..as soon as the new 9400b hit the docks I'm there.

I'm wondering if the new suspension will effect the use of the air-ride height control and the air bladders were either removed or relocated. I was not able to get any more info other than the initial release of no towing receivers.

Leave it to the Japanese to conservatively release modifications

So are you saying the new models with November build will have the tire monitors and Roll sensing airbags, but not the KDSS? I've decided not to wait for those, I'm going to get one of the September or later builds with the new GVWR and go with it. My local dealer said the way the KDSS was explained to him was that it was mostly for off-roading. He also said the airbag thing was a shut off option for extreme tilt if you were off-roading, the same feature the LX has, so you could turn it off if you were rock climbing on steep angles. But this is just one salesman's explanation.

It doesn't sound like he is saying that. It sounds like he is saying the new KDSS will not have the towing package available right away.

Correct...from what I could get, the new 9400Bs with the KDSS option will NOT have a towing package (immediately) available.

OK, I'll bite. What is the "9400B"?

I think it should be "9700B". The GX 470 model 9700A has 6000lb GVWR.
The new model 9700B has 6150lb GVWR.
