TRQ Coils

TRQ Coils
Hey fellow GX’ers…
When I bought my 06 GX back in sept, one of the first things I did was change plugs and coils. (Was a slight misfire, figured it was prob time at 180k)
I bought the OEM plugs, but I bought the TRQ brand coils. They were like $275 total, so I figured they can’t be crap like some of the cheap no-names online.
Last week I was getting a misfire in cyl 1, so I replaced that one. Now this week feeling misfire again. No codes yet. My question: Does anyone have experience with TRQ? Should I just buy OEM and be done with them?

Did you swap the coil onto a different cylinder to see if the misfire followed the coil? Or did you just buy a replacement TRQ coil pack for it?
Frankly, I haven't seen anyone complain about a bad factory coil pack. I know they must exist, but I haven't seen reports from people of them going bad.
I'm currently at 197k miles on factory coil packs - I have changed spark plugs twice now (using NGK and Denso)
The dealer price is about $120 each. Which is steep. But if they last 18 years...

I didn't swap the coil to a diff cylinder, but when I put on the new one (auto parts store coil, $55)...the misfire was gone. So I'm assuming it was the coil.
The old coils I took off when I bought it must have been OEM, as well as the plugs, because the coil boots were melted to the plugs. That was fun trying to get them out.
At the end of the day...I'm just wondering if I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and get the OEM ones. From everything I've read, cheaply made coils usually last a few months before they start having issues.
