nbfc,
Sorry you're having this problem. But I don't think it will make your vehicle unsafe in any way.

Write a nice letter to Lexus (get a name at a responsible level) and explain your problem and request their help in resolving the problem. Explain if they can't help you then you will write to all of the automotive publications hoping that they might no of a solution (noting of course that this is a common problem and Lexus has a TSB for a fix and the fix seems to only work some of the time per the members of ClubLexus) I think they will understand you are serious and realize you are to the point of doing damage to their image.

I did write to the owner of the dealership and told just what you said. He called and said he waa sorry but there was nothing he can do. I then asked said he was the owner and i\he has the authority to correct this problem and he told there are guidelines they have to foloow and that is whatthey will do. I told him i will do the same. I have filed with the Lemon Law Division of the Attorney Generals Office, The National Center for Dispute, Better Business Burea,Consumer Affair and the National Safety and Highway Transportation.

so far so good, since i used to have both the clunk and vibration, it only needed a experienced mechanic, fix, just like what we have discussed here before.
