...over thinking the winter with LED's , most defiantly, that's what I do.

I do quite a bit of driving in the southern Rockies of New Mexico and Colorado where we have properties and will be retiring to.
I have been in a few situations where winter driving conditions were horrible and the halogen lights were enough to keep the headlights clear; so it seemed.

That is where my concern comes from...
Mabey it's a nonissue, I would like to upgrade for better visibility and match my 7" LED Blast phase driving lights.

Cheers

I live in Denver, and we get TONS more snow than Trinidad or Pagosa Springs. I really would not worry that much. Now if your properties are around Salida or Buena Vista, perhaps adding some aftermarket light bars should be considered.

Seems that many of these LEDs were recently purchased. Anyone had a set that lasted beyond their warranty yet? I agree that the chart is helpful, but the thing more important to me than brightness is whether the pattern is where it needs to be. My research led me to Diode Dynamics website and they say many of the low priced imports have erratic patterns. I'd be curious if anyone has opted for Diode Dynamics or Morimoto.

My prior set lasted 4 years and current set is on its 2 1/2 years.

I have had Beamtech LED headlights installed for over three years with no failures. They were less than $40. Plenty bright enough and plug-n-play.
