I have been seeing many older issues with being unable to turn the key because the steering column locks and you cannot start or move the GX.
Happened to me and it took 2 hours to break it free. NOT going to ever have that happen to me again!
Was thinking about going to a Amazon special PKE push to start system but the lock needs to be disabled.
Lack of info on how to do it so I figured out a down and dirty way of getting it done if anyone is interested?

Take the lower drive dash apart.
Take the 3 screws out of the steering column. You have to turn the wheel to get to the 2 hidden ones and remove the lower plastic.
Take a sacrificial drill bit. Nothing too big. And drill into the lock. Through the outer casing and into the locking shaft, out the back if you can. I could not. Break off the bit and have nice day.
