New Tsb For Vibration
I stumbled upon this one by accident... My wheels were about to be rebalanced, and the foreman at my dealer mentioned a new TSB (ST002-05) for the infamous steering wheel vibration. It involves replacing the steering wheel with a heavier version and adjusting the steering rack preload, among other things.
The TSB came out some time in late July and affects some '03, '04, and '05 models. After having some tires replaced a while ago, my vibration problem was not too serious, but I have to say this TSB made it even better.
I hope this can help some of you.

Thanks for the info. I noticed a little vibration at crusing speeds on the highway. But I don't think it is severe enough to make me go get it replaced. That seems like some serious work and I am afraid if I fix what isn't broken, something else might get screwed up in the process.
But thanks!
But thanks!

I do need to go back because the wood on the new wheel is scratched (it actually appears to be shipping damage), so they are going to replace it.
By the way, my GX is also named The Beast! You just went public with the name first...

I read through it and was surprised to see a section devoted to flat spotting of the Dunlop tires. I surely am glad I asked for a swap to Michelins from another GX prior to delivery.
