Survey: Sirius radio with Lexus parts: What are we getting for install charges?
Hello to all--
Soon to pick up an '06 GX and want the Sirius radio so popular w/ many here. But for this forum I would NEVER have known that the "universal" Lexus Sirius receiver (lists @ $225 or so) and an install kit for an ES330 w/ Nav (lists @ $115 or so) would work, especially since Lexus stupidly doesn't make this known.
In any event, I'd like to know what people here have paid for what looks like a rather simple install. Also, where did the antenna go and how does everyone like it?
Thanks in advance--
Jim

The problem I don't like about the ES install kit is that the antenna gets placed on the inside of the front windshield. The kits that mount the antenna on the outside of the vehicle almost always get better reception. Thats why when you do purchase a vehicle that comes with the satellite radio factory installed, the satellite antenna is always mounted to the roof of the vehicle.
I'm trying to find out the part number for the Sirius fit kit for the LX. It used to be on lexusparts.com, but its been removed.
