WE are buying an GX 470 w/o nav. What goes in the space when nav is not equipped? I was :thinking that might be a good location for after market GPS unit. (Garmin, Lorance etc) Or when I install XM radio kit. Any ideas?

The radio takes up the space. I have a GX w/ NAV because I liked the way it looked alot more then w/ no NAV screen. Check out the GX's sold on EBAY, the sellers take some great detailed photos of the interiors.

GET THE NAV! There you have it. The dash w/o nav looks very busy with a bunch of "knobology" to learn. With Nav everything is touch screen and clean looking. Ebay is a very good place to see the diff -I agree.

The dash without the nav is much easier to operate. The touch screen on the nav replaces all the ***** which I did not like. I have a portable nav unit so I can take it from the GX to my wife's car. When I was looking at the GX. I had to look hard to find one without the nav and in the color I wanted.
