Default 06 GX with Lean and Clunk

Hello.
I have about 10800 miles and i picked up the car Sept of 05 as 06 model. I think it could have been the first batch of 2006 model. I have been noticing the infamous CLUNK issues from time to time and also the LEAN and TILT toward the driver side. Even my wife noticed it last night.

My car has no KDSS option. Just plain GX470. Ive been reading that more of the KDSS equiped cars have this problem... but i guess it exists on non KDSS cars too... so sad... gonna call up the dealer tomorrow and make an appointment.....

Can anyone explain what this Lean and Clunk is all about? I owned a 03 4Runner and I believe I know what you are talking about when it comes to the clunk. The Clunk has to do with stopping and starting and the drive shaft. Is the lean in regards to the fuel tank?

The lean is usually associated with the KDSS system, some members have solve this problem by bleeding the hydraulics fluid from the KDSS. The 4runner has a similar system call X-REA, but I have never heard of any 4runner owners complain about any leaning problem.

clunk (as i mentioned like 100 times) can be reproduced. have the car in "D" and stopped. then adjust ur height suspension either up or down, then you'll fell the "thug, thug" or aka clunk. it might even come up more than 2 times. i tried dat before, and in one of them, it went "thug, thug, .... thug, thug".

I have a '06 GX w/ KDSS and there is the lean and the slight clunk - -I was a bit concerned at first but nothing bothersome - have 7K miles on it. Frankly don't want the car opened up to have ' hydraulic bleeding' by mechanics. It runs fine. Every now and then at stop it has the slight clunk.....and yes the height control does highlight the issue.....

I would not bother visiting the dealer - - they will not fix it and simply create another issue if they open the car....

Of course, after the number of dealer visits in my BMW (for real issues) - the clunk/ lean on the GX are non issues for me.....
