Default Fuel

What octane of fuel do you use...I know they call for Premium but I have heard the truck runs on Regular too.

Search for "octane" in the GX forum, and you will find several threads on this. There is even a poll.

Thanks! But, I was interested in what the GX owners had to say. I'm not interested in what everyone else that drives a lexus thinks.

I am running mid grade (89 octane) and do not notice any difference from premium grade (93 octane).

Regular - why waste the money - Lexus says regular is totally fine. I also cannot tell the difference and if there is a difference with premium, it is so little that it isn't worth the extra money. Same cleaners and conditioners in the fuel, so all you are giving up is a possibility of a barely noticable performance increase!
