Ah, I missed that 2019 call out from jbonecpa. My eyes saw 2009. Haha, yea 2019 is a GX460 and is for the other forum...

Agree ... pad material buildup can cause pulsing ... best way to remove is to find a straight open road with no traffic ... get to 70 MPH and do a panic stop to the point where the ABS system is just about to kick-in. Do this several times ... burns off the buildup on the rotors ... works as long as the brakes not close to replacement.

On the rotors ... I always install new rotors ... machining existing never results in equal service life as the originals ... plus the machining process (if not done properly) can induce stresses that when heat-cycled accelerate warping.

Driving habits play a big role ... late hard stopping ... long downhill braking without downshifting (using engine braking to assist) ... not feathering off of the brake pedal when the vehicle just comes to a complete stop (to eliminate "grabbing" to an abrupt stop). All of these things contribute to pad material buildup and rotor warping.
