Hi Everyone...
I searched everywhere before this post and since it has been awhile since I have been around, I thought I would ask you guys!
I have a 2005 that only has 25k miles on it and will need tires soon. Can't believe I need them this soon? Must be the around town driving I do for the most part.
Anyway, I wanted to find out the tire that will give the smoothest ride. I do not do any off roading, other than jumping a curb every now and then when I get stuck in traffic, so off roading is not my gig!
Any advice would be appreciated?
Thanks much!

Sounds strange you need tires at 25,000 miles, I have 33,000 and from the looks of the Michelin Cross Terrains on my GX they will last well into 60,000+ miles. They have been really great tires, very good, quiet ride with excellent rain and snow performance. Very highly recommended!!
I made it part of the deal when I bought my GX to have the Cross Terrains put on and the dealer agreed.

Michelin Cross Terrains are excellent, as are Continental Cross Contacts. The Continentals cost about 40-50 dollars each LESS than the Michelins. Most BMWs come standard with Continental rubber.

I agree Michelins are really good tires, when I used work on tires I seen Michelin survive through things that I never seen any other tire go through, if your willing to spend the money then I would say go with the Michelins!

Also, I know we are not supposed to talk price here but, for the Mich Cross Terrains 265 R17 110s ORBL at Costco, they are $201 each. Good deal with a $60 rebate until July 4?
Thanks...Hal.

Pirelli Scorpion ATR !!!
i'm currently using Scorpion ATR in 275/55/R20 replacing my stock Michelin Cross Terrain 17"
and the difference in "smoothness" is very minimal while the "looks" is very very different :P
