Does anyone have any issues with the quality of the interior leather on the GX470 ??
I love the GX, don't get me wrong but I feel the leather is a bit on the thin /
low-grade side.......

It could be my imagination but I think the quality of the leather in my old '98 LX470 was a bit better then that of my GX470. That said, the leather in my GX is better then that of an X5 and Range Rover that I've ridden in. The Lexus is softer IMO, although the X5 and Range Rover did seem like maybe they were thicker and more durable though which might be a good thing depending on your preference.

I remember reading a review once of the LX470 where they wrote that it seemed like the leather came from only the tenderest of clover eating cows or something like that Also, the GX470 got better scores then the Range Rover for front and rear seat comfort as well as interior materials in Edmund's 2004 Ultra Luxury Midsize SUV comparo in which it came in first place overall:

The leather in the GX is nice. I just wish the seats were a little more cushiony. They're a little hard IMHO.

The BMW's leather is thicker, but not as soft. It really depends what you consider nice leather. I think the Lexus leather feels nicer to the touch but the BMW leather is more durable. But by no mean is the leather in the GX low grade.

Much better than a 4runner or Landcruiser!

I have owned several Audi's and BMW's and the grade of leather seem to be as good but the German's like there cushion ferm.

I owned a Land Rover prior to my GX and the leather in the GX is a better quality IMO.
