Its amazing that the non-smoker box for the GX is only $28 and the non-smoker box for the GS is $207, maybe I should take up smoking again

I made my "smokers box" a non-smokers box for $1.50. Any arts & crafts store sells black felt with the sticky stuff on the back. Simply, trim the felt to fit the box, peel off the paper and for a buck fifty and 2 minutes, you save yourself cash (not that most GX owners worry about that).

Jason, I did the same thing when I had my GX, but it took me more than 2 mins. I guess I was trying to get it perfect.

The last time I tried putting coins in the ash tray, the whole thing collapsed as I was groping around at the toll booth and coins crashed all over the inside the GX.

I wound up getting EasyPass after that. Too bad that doesn't work for parking meters or uncivilized places like the Ohio Turnpike, but it is a great convenience in our area.

Well, I got mine "Non Smokers Box". It is exactly the same size/shape as ash-tray, just without metal cover. So if I would remove metal cover, I would get the same result. It is covered with nice felt (if you care about it).

I think the major improvement compared with ash-tray, are two rubber stick-ons which hold it from falling out (metal cover holds the ash tray).
